DaimlerChrysler AG (DCX) announced today (12/07/00) that due to large demand it will increase the production of Mercedes-Benz cars at its plant in Graz, Austria.
Also, production of M-class Mercedes-Benz cars will be phased out in June 2003 instead of June 2002 at the Austrian plant, it said. The extra production equals a 19% rise in the total of M-Class cars to be built in Graz to 89,000.
