DaimlerChrysler AG’s two-year long talks with Chinese vehicle maker FAW Car Co. Ltd. about a joint venture in heavy truck production have failed, German daily Handelsblatt said, citing company sources.
The paper cited observers as saying talks failed over FAW’s unwillingness to have a minority stake in the joint venture over the medium term. Talks with other partners are already under way, the report added.
