DC previously announced there would no longer be a separate board of management position for procurement after the realignment. In the future, all procurement activities will be directly coordinated between the divisions. However, Bodo Uebber will additionally assume board level responsibility for procurement.

“Sidlik has been committed to the success of DaimlerChrysler since day one of the merger,” said DC chairman Dieter Zetsche in a statement. “He has been a loyal and supportive member of the board of management. Now, based upon the new management concepts for the Chrysler Group and DaimlerChrysler, it is a logical step that he leaves the board. This is a mutual and agreeable decision by both.”

Sidlik joined Chrysler Corporation in 1980.
