Daimler might sell its Mercedes dealerships in eastern Germany to China-based Lei Shing Hong, Stuttgarter Zeitung reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The company intends to sell dealerships in Rostock, Dresden, Schwerin, Leipzig and Magdeburg, while keeping its Berlin outlets.

Daimler said it plans to sell company-owned Mercedes dealerships that have accounted for around 50% of the brand’s German sales. Meanwhile, it plans to make an investment of US$561.6m in the rest of the outlets, ETAuto.com reported citing Reuters.
