A report in the Wall Street Journal suggested that the company will decide in 2014 whether to build a new Mercedes-Benz car plant in North America.

“A decision on where we’ll build [a factory] will be made next year,” Daimler board member Andreas Renschler told the newspaper.
“We have to consider whether we need new production capacity in the Nafta region for the next model generation of compact cars,” Renschler said.
