Daimler’s supervisory board on Wednesday extended the contract of commercial vehicles head Andreas Renschler until 30 September, 2013. Renschler, a member of the management board since 2004, is also responsible for Daimler’s bus business.

His contract was due to expire in September 2010.
“The extension for three years as of 1 October, 2010 is in accordance with general practice at Daimler that contracts of service are for a period of three years, both for initial appointments and for reappointments,” the automaker said in a statement.
