Wolfgang Bernhard, head of manufacturing and purchasing for Mercedes-Benz Cars and the company’s vans division, has had his contract extended to February 2018 by Daimler’s supervisory board.
Bernhard is seen as a possible successor to CEO Dieter Zetsche; his contract was due to expire next February. He has been on Daimler’s board since 2010.
