Figures released by the VDA show that in the first two months of this year, German passenger car production and exports were down 5% on last year.
However, the VDA said that new orders for passenger cars from both from the home market and from export markets were growing. In the first two months of the year orders from Germany were up by 5%, with export oreders up by 8%.

The VDA said that it expects car production in Germany to reach 5.7m units in 2015, which would constitute growth of 2%. Exports are forecast at 4.4m cars, also 2% ahead of 2014’s total.
