Starting in spring 2006, the 2,400 square metre building will be used to manufacture third-generation common-rail diesel fuel-injection systems. Total diesel systems production space at Bursa will increase to more than 117,000 square metres. Around 3,900 workers already make diesel-injection components there, mostly common-rail and unit-injector high-pressure injection systems.

Bosch has operated in Turkey since 1910. In 2004, the group had domestic sales of €567 million and it employs about 6,000 manufacturing workers in Bursa (automotive technology), Manisa (thermotechnology), and Cerkezköy (household appliances).

An operation in Istanbul sells automotive technology, workshop testing equipment, Blaupunkt multi-media systems, and power tools to the aftermarket industry.

Bosch also has 450 customer service bases in Turkey.
