BMW has long
been acclaimed for its clever April 1 spoof press releases and this year has come
up with another one just for Christmas.
In a press release headed, ‘Santa’s two-wheeled sleigh’, the company claims:

‘Traffic congestion and parking problems have forced Santa Claus to reconsider
his mode of transport. The German Society of Father Christmases has just announced
its plan to test a number of BMW C1s for this year’s deliveries and spurn the
more traditional reindeer power.
‘ “First impressions are positive, said Claus. “As well as reducing journey
times and making parking much easier the C1 also solves a long-standing emissions
problem.’
