BMW Group said September was another record month for sales which rose 6.7% year on year to 189,675 worldwide. Year to date volume was up 7.5% to a record 1,436,178.
BMW brand sales in September rose 7.6% to 158,029 as 3 Series volume rose 13.9% to 44,752. YRD, the core brand was up 9% to 1,209,598.

Mini posted record September sales of 31,313, up 2.5% with the core hatchback line in its final months. YTD sales inched up 0.5% to 224,280.
Rolls-Royce sales last month were up 7.1% to 333. But YTD volume was donw 1.1% to 2,300 units.
BMW group sales and marketing chief Ian Robertson said: “Despite initial signs of stabilisation in the European automobile market, conditions in many countries remain challenging. However, we have been able to keep our European sales on a similar level year on year and once again reported major gains in the US and Asia. We are therefore well on our way to another increase in deliveries for the full year 2013 and a new sales record.”
