BMW announced that it is creating a 1,000 extra jobs to meet strong demand for its 3-series vehicles, reports Bloomberg News.

The job creation, in both the production and research-and-development divisions, coincides with the company`s decision to eliminate August vacation shutdowns at certain plants.
