BMW group increased global sales volume in July 2.2% year on year to 125,812 units. Year to date sales were up 4.4% to 890,699 units. BMW brand sales also rose 2.2% to to 106,483 units and were up 2.4% year to date.

Sales and marketing chief Ian Robertson said: “We have increased our worldwide sales in July despite difficult business conditions. We intend to maintain our growth plan albeit we will continue to react to the world market situation on a month by month basis.”
BMW last week said it would shift some sales away from the difficult US market to more profitable regions.
Mini sales were up 2.1% to 19,227 units last month and were up 15.5% to 146,041 year to date.
Rolls-Royce sales rose 22.9% to 102 in July and were up 58.4% to 597 for the January–July period, reflecting the recent launch of new model variants such as a convertible.
