BMW group reported strong April sales growth worldwide with 137,183 deliveries, including Mini and Rolls-Royce, up 18% year on year.

For the four months to the end of April, the group achieved record sales of 519,944 vehicles, up from 432,016 in 2010 and an increase of 20.4%.

Sales and marketing chief Ian Robertson said: “We continued our balanced growth worldwide with an increase in sales across almost all regions and markets.

“Germany, the US and China remain our three largest markets. But we also saw impressive growth in the dynamic young markets of Brazil, Russia, India, Korea and Turkey.
