Germany’s number three auto-maker BMW AG expects to sell 100,000 of the new Minis per year, says Bloomberg News (13/9/00).
The redesigned car – to go on sale in July 2001 – is to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show later this month. The new version of the 41-year-old classic – to go sale in Europe, North America and Japan next summer – will complement a VW Golf-sized, rear-wheel-drive vehicle to be built by the German auto giant.
