BMW’s Dingolfing plant is the latest to come to a standstill for a few days.
A production stop is planned for the beginning of November, according to local press reports.
It is not clear how many people will be affected by the shutdown which will also affect the workers at the Landshut component plant.
BMW’s CEO Norbert Reithofer has said he does not affect this year’s profitability to be affected by the crisis in financial markets.
Group sales in September were down over 14% but year to date sales were still up almost 2%.
