Audi has taken 15,000 pre-orders for the new Q7, which goes on sale officially in Germany and other European countries today. 5,000 of the orders are for Germany.

The level of orders has exceeded expectations, according Ralph Weyler, head of sales and marketing for Audi. More than half of customers have ordered the car in black. Preferred options include navigation system with DVD, adaptive air suspension, Bluetooth, three rows of seats, the Open Sky roof, as well as the assisted parking system with reversing camera.
Audi has embarked on a marketing progamme, called ‘Q7 Talk of the Town’ in which the car is presented to large audiences at evening shows.
