Audi plans to introduce the world’s first electric turbocharger engine in the next generation Q7 SUV, reported Drive.au.
Audi’s head of diesel engine development Ulrich Weiss said the engine would go into production “very soon”.
“I can confirm we are working on the development of the e-boost definitely. Be sure that Audi will bring it to the market. Maybe it will be not this year. But it will be very soon.”
The company recently previewed the technology in an RS5 TDI concept car.
