Audi’s CFO, Rupert Stadler, is reportedly being considered for two new jobs. He could either move across to Volkswagen Group and become CFO there, working alongside Martin Winterkorn, or he could succeed Winterkorn as CEO of Audi.

The most likely outcome is that Stadler will replace Winterkorn. A decision about who will become next Audi CEO will be made at the next Audi supervisory board meeting on 6th December, according to the German news agency DPA.
Head of manufacturing at Audi, Jochem Heizmann, is rumoured to be the other main contender for the top Audi job. Willibert Schleuter, head of electrical engineering at Audi, has also been named as a possible contender.
Volkswagen Group CFO is currently Hans Dieter Pötsch. He has been a Volkswagen Group board member since 2003 having previously been Chair of the board of management at Dürr AG.
