Fiat Auto’s redesigned Punto model line will be unveiled too late in 2005 to play a role in next year’s results, new company CEO Herbert Demel said on Wednesday.
“The new Punto will not play a role next year,” Demel told Reuters at the Geneva motor show, adding: “If we launch it next year it will be so late in the year that it will not make a difference to results.”
Reuters noted that the Punto is Fiat’s top-selling car and the new version is due to be launched in 2005.
The current model was refreshed for 2003.
