PSA has issued the first images of the Peugeot 4008 and its twin the Citroen C4 Aircross. These are both variants of the existing Mitsubishi ASX crossover.

The measurements of these new models are quoted as follows: 4.34m long, 1.80m wide and 1.63m high.

The engines to be offered will be 1.6- and 2.0-litre petrol units as well as 1.6- and 1.8-litre diesels. The diesels will come with a six-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol variants will have five-speed manual transmissions. A CVT will be available only for the 2.0-litre petrol.

In European markets, PSA will sell only diesel-engined versions of the 4008 and C4 Aircross.

The new Peugeot 4008 and Citroen C4 Aircross will have their world premieres at the Geneva motor show in March and go on sale from the second quarter of 2012.
