Lamborghini has released the first details of the Huracán, its replacement for the Gallardo. The car will have its first public outing at the Geneva motor show in March.

The first Huracán variant to have been announced is the LP610-4. This is powered by a 448kW (610PS) 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10, with drive sent to all wheels. A stop-start system is standard, as is a seven-speed dual clutch transmission named LDF (Lamborghini Doppia Frizione). The chassis is referred to by the company as an ‘integrated structure of carbon and aluminium’.

The first deliveries are set to take place in the northern hemisphere spring. The Huracán will be manufactured alongside the Aventador at Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata Bolognese factory. The new model’s project code is LP724.
