Maserati will launch the Sport, a more powerful version of the GranTurismo, at the Geneva motor show. The new car replaces the GranTurismo S.
The GranTurismo Sport differs from both the former S and the other two variants, which continue, by having its own front bumper as well as unique tail-lights and headamps, and new seats.

The GranTurismo and MC Stradale are expected to gain some of the Sport’s bespoke exterior features later in 2012, as is the GranCabrio (GranTurismo Convertible in some markets) model line-up.
The new Sport is, like the MC Stradale, powered by a 4.7-litre V8 but in this case, its power is higher (460hp). The GranTurismo S, which the Sport replaces, had a stated power output of 433hp.
