Renault’s Slovenian assembly plant (Revoz) will produce the compact two-seater Wind roadster.

The Wind will be produced in Novo Mesto with the assistance of a subsidy from the Slovenian government.

Serial production is set to start in a few months’ time, according to Revoz, with the car going on sale across Europe in the summer.

Analysts say that capacities at the Revoz plant  – which also makes Clio II and the Twingo – make Wind output likely to be in the region of 20,000 units a year.

Revoz produces around 200,000 cars annually.
