One of Renault’s sacked executives embroiled in its alleged industrial espionage case has appealed directly to President Sarkozy to intervene.
It appears lawyers acting for Bertrand Rochette have written to the French President to have access to Renault’s complaint against the fired three senior employees, although they have yet to have a reply.

A report in French daily newspaper Le Figaro and quoting news agency AFP, notes no response has been forthcoming: “The consequences of these actions are particularly prejudicial to M. Bertrand Rochette, not only in terms of his honour as he is unaware of specific complaints made against him, but also because he has no effective remedy,” says the report.
Rochette was the executive who says he was taken on a bizarre journey to Switzerland by Renault security staff to discuss supposed bank accounts.
Once in Switzerland however, the matter appears to have been dropped, with Rochette noting at the time he wanted to see who could have opened such an account in his name.
Calls by just-auto to Rochette’s lawyers in Paris were not immediately returned.
