Renault Trucks has announced the appointment of Marc Martinez as its new managing director UK, starting 1 July.

Martinez – who occupied the same position in France – succeeds Laurent Farman who takes up the position of Renault Trucks managing director Spain.

“I will be focusing on some key priorities for Renault Trucks in the UK – to develop the profitability of the company in a tough economic climate and to consolidate the Renault Trucks brand in the UK truck market,” said Martinez.

“With the latter, our dealer network will be a key factor in our success, so I am looking forward to working very closely with them and developing the quality of our product and service offers.”

Farman will start his new role in Spain on 1 September, following a handover to Martinez.
