The change will highlight Reagroup’s function of selling vehicles, according to the automaker.
The name Reagroup is now used by all REA’s entities in Europe. In France, Renault France Automobiles (RFA) became Reagroup on April 29, 2005. RFA’s 10 regional hubs are also to be renamed shortly.
The change focuses on two objectives: to give all the distribution subsidiaries previously attached to REA the same name, and to build a distinctive image for customers of Reagroup’s business of selling the three brands, Renault, Nissan and Dacia.
The new name will be introduced in each country as the corporate names of the various companies are changed.
The signs at outlets and all sales materials, such as brochures and posters, will always refer to the brand being sold.
Reagroup, a subsidiary of the Renault group, is responsible for selling the Renault, Nissan and Dacia brands in major European cities. The group now covers 300 sales and services sites, including 30 Nissan sites, in 14 countries. It has three operating units: one for France, one for the United Kingdom and another for the rest of continental Europe.
With 23% of Renault network sales in Europe and 330,000 new and 235,000 used vehicles sold in 2004, Reagroup claims to be the leading automobile distribution group in Europe.
