Confirming earlier reports citing unofficial sources, Renault announced Dominique Thormann will replace Thierry Moulonguet as group chief financial officer from 1 July.
He also will join the group executive committee reporting to chairman and CEO Carlos Ghosn.

Thormann remains chairman of RCI Banque.
Moulonguet has also been named director and special adviser to Ghosn in his role as president of the Renault-Nissan alliance.
Thormann, born in 1954, started as a credit analyst at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York in 1979, held posts in Rome, Milan and Paris and joined Renault Crédit International in 1989 as international treasurer, taking charge of investor relations in 1994.
In 1999 he joined Nissan Motor in Tokyo as deputy general manager, investor relations and financial strategy. He later headed global communications and investor relations and then became the Paris based chief of administration and finance for Nissan Europe. He next joined Nissan North America in July 2006 to run administration and finance and was named chairman of RCI Banque in October 2009.
