Citing Renault sources, Kyodo News reports that Renault and its alliance partner Nissan will expand the scope of their joint procurement activity to cover raw materials such as steel sheets and plastics in 2003. The extension of joint procurement to raw materials is aimed at achieving further cost reductions.
