Les Echos reports that Renault, the French automotive company, is aiming to double sales volume of its Logan model on the French market to 20,000 units this year.

The newspaper said that the company was hoping for a sales boost owing, in particular, to the introduction of a diesel version.
The low-cost Logan is manufactured by Renault-owned Dacia in Romania and was designed primarily for sale in emerging markets. However, the company has also decided that there is a small market for the car in some Western European markets.
