Peugeot SA’s supervisory board has confirmed former Airbus president and CEO Christian Streiff, who joined the automaker late last year, as chairman of the managing board and appointed four additional members for a four-year term.

Streiff served only a few months at the Anglo/French/German commercial airliner maker before taking up the post of special advisor to PSA’s outgoing managing board chairman Jean-Martin Folz last November.
He has a strong track record of automotive industry positions including production manager, Halbergerhütte foundry, Germany (cast-iron automotive components) and general manager at auto glass maker Saint-Gobain Emballage, Paris.
After a period with other companies, he returned to Saint-Gobain as deputy chief executive officer at in 2004–2005 before moving on to briefly head Airbus.
The other new PSA managing board appointees are Frédéric Saint-Geours (Peugeot marque), Gilles Michel (Citroën marque), Grégoire Olivier (programmes) and Roland Vardanega (operations).
“The managing board in its new configuration comprises representatives of all the functions responsible for the future of the Peugeot and Citroën model line-ups, their marketing and the group’s vehicle development and manufacturing capabilities,” PSA said in a statement.
The supervisory board, meanwhile, has added Robert Peugeot to its ranks. He is chairman and CEO of Société Foncière, Financière et de Participations-FFP, the main holding company for the Peugeot family’s interests.
