A Reuters report says that the Peugeot family may be prepared to cede control of PSA in return for a capital injection from GM.
The report cites anonymous sources who also told the news agency that an obstacle to a closer relationship is the political difficulties presented by factory closures and job losses. The Reuters report said that before injecting more cash, 7% stakeholder GM would need assurances that it had a free hand to cut production capacity as it took control of integrating PSA and Opel.
