Peugeot said on Thursday it planned to sell 130,000 units per year of its new “minispace 1007” model, which is set to compete with Renault’s Modus and Opel’s Agila or Meriva models, Reuters reported.
The news agency said Peugeot plans to start selling the model in France in the first quarter of 2005 and in the first half of next year for the rest of Europe.
Its “minispace 1007” sale target is lower than domestic rival Renault’s planned production of 300,000 per year of its new Modus “minispace” model which is expected on the market in September, the report noted.
