Nissan manager Dominique Thormann said that, if the market is stable, the company could expect to sell 20,000 more vehicles than last year, bringing total registrations to 561,000 units.
Sales growth can be expected to come from the new Note, launched earlier this year.
Last month Nissan also announced that it would invest €6m to increase van production at its Barcelona plant by 4% to 180,000 units. Nissan produces the Primastar, Navara and Pathfinder at the plant.
Thormann also reportedly said that Nissan is expecting to achieve a higher operating margin this year, above last year’s 4.5%.
