Newcomer Jean-Marc Gales, appointed head of Citroen in February after a career with BMW and Opel, has taken overall charge of both Peugeot and Citroen brands in a new role. He will also have operational control of the Peugeot brand.

Frederic Banzet has taken operational control of the Citroen brand, reporting to Gales, while Marey-Semper will stay on as an adviser to Varin.

Head of Peugeot Jean-Philippe Colin, another Streiff appointee, has left the executive committee.
