Yann Delabrière has been appointed chairman and chief executive officer of Faurecia following a board meeting last Friday.

According to a statement from the components maker, he has a tough set of objectives to oversee: to pursue the turnaround of the group’s operational profitability, to ensure continued internal growth through the development of innovative architectures, systems and services; and to position Faurecia as a strategic partner for each of the world’s major automakers.
During an internal meeting with 150 senior managers, Delabrière said that to achieve these strategic objectives the group needs to focus on three priorities: to continuously improve the level of quality in terms of technical proposals, products and service; to reduce Faurecia’s overall cost structure; and to continue the focus on innovation in order to be able to offer automakers high performance solutions in terms of safety, modularity, perceived quality and differentiation.
He added: “These strategic objectives, coupled with our drive for operational excellence, will enable Faurecia to return to profitability and provide customers with long-term support for their programmes across the world”.
Delabrière joined the PSA Peugeot Citroën group as chief financial officer and was previously director of finance, control and performance and a member of the automaker’s executive committee.
He has been a director of Faurecia since 1996 and is currently chairman of the audit committee.
