Vietnam-headquartered IT services provider FPT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Israel-based Cymotive Technologies to advance automotive cybersecurity innovation.

The deal initiates a partnership to introduce Cymotive’s cybersecurity solutions to the established automotive customer base of FPT.

Under the MOU, both the firms will jointly develop and commercialise next-generation solutions for software-defined vehicles (SDVs), enhancing safer, smarter, and more connected mobility.

The MOU establishes a strategic collaboration for developing and commercialising advanced cybersecurity solutions tailored to the automotive industry’s evolving demands.

The agreement focuses on leveraging Cymotive’s cybersecurity solutions and engineering expertise within FPT’s global partner network.

This partnership will address the complex technical and regulatory demands faced by automotive manufacturers and suppliers worldwide.

FPT Software executive vice president and Automotive chief executive officer Nguyen Duc Kinh said: “The automotive industry is undergoing a fundamental shift toward software-defined, intelligent mobility. Automotive is among FPT’s five strategic directions. With two decades of expertise in automotive technology, FPT launched a dedicated subsidiary focusing on automotive technologies in 2023.

The company has a global network of 5,000 automotive software engineers and alliances with top chipmakers, tier-one suppliers, and OEMs.
