It claimed commercial vehicle leadership in January, with 26,700 sold, up 4.4%, though share slipped 0.2% to 13.8%.

Transit van line sales of 21,600 were  a record for January, up 6.9% year on year.

High-series vehicles – Titanium, Vignale, ST-Line, ST and RS – made up 68% of passenger car sales in the Euro 20 markets for January, up 8.2%.

Sales of the top-selling Fiesta and Focus grew in January with redesigned Fiesta up 5% and Focus, soon for a re-do, up 6%.

Retail and fleet customer sales accounted for 76% of Ford passenger vehicle sales in its top five European markets in January.

The brand grew sales grew in 15 of its Euro 20 markets in January with gains in Germany (up 11.5%), Spain (up 6.4%) and the Netherlands (up 20%).
