Fisker reportedly is recalling 12,523 Ocean electric SUVs globally because of an issue which could cause exterior door handles to stick and fail to open, the company announced.

According to Green Car Reports, the recall covers 8,204 vehicles in the US, 513 in Canada, and 3,806 in Europe. In the U.S., Oceans were delivered as both 2023 and 2024 models. Fisker estimated 2.5% of vehicles could have the defect which the company attributed to a “malfunctioning mechanism.”
