Sumitomo Rubber European affiliate Falken Tyre said it was supplying tyres for the Audi A1 Citycarver.

The automaker selected the Azenis FK510 in 205/55R17 size for factory fit.

The deal began in autumn 2019 but was not announced until now.

Falken has also supplied factory fit tyres for the automaker's Q3 compact SUV since summer 2018.

Falken has sold the tyre since 2016.

"We are very pleased to have won this contract," said Falken key account manager Christian Stolting.

"The decision to equip another premium model with our tyres at the factory says a great deal for the quality and the high scope of our tyres."
