Speaking at J D Power-LMC’s global automotive outlook conference in London today, Arthur Maher said that PSA was alone amongst the major European car makers in “running at capacity build” (100 percent capacity utilisation).
Other car makers were shown to be running significantly under capacity and taking steps to reduce production capacity (e.g. GM’s Project Olympia).
In J D Power-LMC’s analysis, Fiat Group was described as having “one of the worst rates of capacity utilisation” in Europe – around 65 percent.
