The company insists that though the dampers will not affect the performance of the car, they might suffer from oil leakage in the long term.
According to Honda, they conduct reliability tests on all car parts. Those around the front struts were found to be below standard in recent tests – customers have been asked to bring in their cars for free replacement of the faulty parts.
