Skoda
Auto as, the Czech unit of Volkswagen AG, increased output of light vehicles 7.5%
to 39,772 in May 2001 from 36,992 in May 2000, according to provisional data provided
to just-auto.com.

Fabia, a new supermini replacing Felicia, accounted for 56.2% of volume this
year, compared with 37.1% last year. The proportion of mid-sized Octavia in
production remained stable – 35.7% this May, 36.5% last May.
