The automaker is recalling Brazilian-made Fox, CrossFox, Polo (hatchback and sedan versions) and Golf models equipped with 1.6-litre flexfuel engines plus the locally-made Kombi van with 1.4-litre flexfuel engine and 1.6-litre petrol-only engine and the Argentinean-made SpaceFox equipped with 1.6-litre flexfuel engine.


According to Volkswagen the fuel gallery on the engines can split, causing leaks. In the Kombi model, the automaker also will replace the steering wheel damper.


Volkswagen do Brasil said it was not aware of any accidents or injuries caused by the faulty parts.
