Diesel
engine maker International Engines South America, (the former Maxion) is forecasting
sales of $US490 million in 2002, an increase of 78 percent over the $US275 million
expected this year.

The company is increasing sales by investing in exports and has recently signed
two agreements to ship engines made in Brazil and Argentina to the United States
where they will be installed in Navistar school buses and Ford Econoline vans.
