As in Europe, the Brazilian Corsa’s recall is to repair seatbelts. GM
said that the belts in airbag-equipped Corsas could break if subjected to great
stress.

Last October, GM recalled 1.3 million Brazilian Corsas, made between1994 and
1999, to change the seatbelts.
