The collective holidays will halt production of the Blazer SUV, S10 pick-up and all GMC trucks between 15 October and 4 November at GM’s São José dos Campos plant.

The plant also makes the old-generation Corsa and Zafira minivan but GM will only partially halt production of these models. Workers from one of the two assembly line shifts will be sent on compulsory vacation between 15 and 28 October.

The collective holidays will also affect GM’s São Caetano do Sul plant which produces Corsa, Astra and Vectra models. At this plant, production will stop between 1 and 8 October and between 15 and 28 October.

Workers at the Gravataí plant who produce the strong-selling Celta compact car, sold via the internet, will not get compulsory vacation.
