2,500 Fiat car workers in Brazil will get 10 days compulsory vacation from July
9 in an effort to reduce production in the face of falling sales, writes Rogério

The workers at the Betim plant, Minas Gerais state, will start their break
on the same day that Fiat celebrates 25 years in Brazil.

The Betim plant employs 10,000.

Fiat says that sales are plummeting because of the economic instability caused
by the falling exchange rate and the government’s energy use reduction
plan which is blacking out homes and businesses across the country.
