Foot and mouth disease in European cattle may affect the supply of automotive
leather and lead to an increase in Brazilian leather exports, according to Luc-Alexandre
Ménard, president of Renault of Brazil and Renault’s general director
on the South American car producers’ organization Mercosur.
"The demand for leather from the world automotive industry is increasing
and European suppliers aren’t in a position to fulfill orders," he
said in an exclusive interview with just-auto.com Brazilian correspondent Rogério
Louro Alves.
