EXCLUSIVE: BRAZIL: End of the line for Gen 1 Fiat Palio
Fiat do Brasil has ended production of the first generation Palio launched in 1996, writes Rogério Louro. The company will now concentrate on the second generation hatchback line introduced at the end of 2000. The sole surviving old-model Palio derivative, the Young, will be replaced by an entry-level version of the second generation car.
